Writing Sample - Bookkeeping Course

I wrote this sales copy "disguised" as an article for use in a weekly newsletter. On the Web, it often works best to provide information first, then warm into a sale. This lowers your readers' "sales resistance" and makes them more likely to read all the way to the close.

By using a weekly newsletter for this client, I was able to increase online sales dramatically, well into the hundreds of thousands of dollars per year in online sales for these distance learning products.

To write effective sales copy in an article format required extensive initial research into both the product and the target audience. Week by week, this newsletter built rapport with the readers, giving them useful information, but always ending in some kind of offer. People tend to be tolerent of sales message online if you give them information they want first. This method proved very effective with this client.
