Writing Samples

We write sales copy and informational pieces for many types of products. Below, you'll find a list of just a few of these, some of which have brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue. This includes both online sales and direct mail marketing efforts.

You'll notice different writing styles to match the product and the audience we target. For example, weight loss products are sold primarily on emotion and a softer touch. Business opportunities tend to require a harder-hitting, more direct approach.

Weight Loss Product
("Dietary Supplement")

Weight loss and other supplements create a special challenge. The Food and Drug administration will not allow you to directly claim a "supplement" (as opposed to a regulated drug) will prevent or cure a disease. This makes the wording rather tricky to stay in compliance with this regulations.

The tone of this sales copy is one of hope, of trying one more time.

Web Hosting

We helped sell this ecommerce web hosting solution to an existing customer base of a company which sells products to sell on eBay.

Real Estate

This is a Web site we created for a local real estate agency. The business owner identified his target audience as females, the primary decision-maker in buying a home. We created the entire Web site around this goal of appealing to women, integrating calming colors and rounded corners. The content works to put the buyer at ease with this realtor and to make it clear that, no matter what their past experience with real estate agents, it will be different this time.

We created all content for the site, including the text and graphics used.

I created this direct mailer to promote a Brazilian Grill. Its goal was to dispel preconceptions about buffet dining and to lure readers to try something completely different, an "adventure" in exotic dining.

This client's product makes it easy to make more on your eBay listings and to find underpriced bargains. It quickly summarizes the main benefits of the product and makes it easy to skim. The summary is followed by a more complete exploration of the product's features and what they mean to the prospective buyer
